The Memorial University of Newfoundland Students’ Union represents over 11,000 undergraduate students studying at the St. John’s campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. MUNSU is a not-for-profit organization that advocates for students through campaigns and lobbying as well as providing services and programming for members.

Winter Carnival Coordinators

Qualifications
  •  Candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a member of the MUN Students’ Union (full- or part-time student);
  • Experience and knowledge of the MUN Students’ Union;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in planning and executing events;
  • Ability to manage time, take initiative, and work independently as well as in a team;
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Cannot currently be living in residence or have lived there in the last 12 months;
  • Experience in residence societies or another club on campus considered an asset;
  • Previous participation in the Winter Carnival is considered an asset. 
MUNSU seeks two part-time student assistants to aid in the implementation of the 2026 MUNSU Winter Carnival. Winter Carnival is an annual week long competition between teams that celebrates and tests the competitive and spirited nature of our residence houses on campus. 
These positions will assist executive and staff with implementing Winter Carnival 2026.  Rate of pay $18.65 per hour for a maximum of 80 hours in total. Candidates must be MUCEP eligible.Winter Carnival will be held between February 6-14, 2026. Successful candidates must be available during these dates.
