MUN World Health Organization (MUN WHO)
last ratified: Winter 2022
The MUN World Health Organization Society is a growing community of students volunteering to facilitate meaningful learning opportunities for individuals passionate about global health. The goal of our conference is to acquaint students with the role of the WHO while providing them an opportunity to play a proactive role in global health policy.
Participants assume the role of a country’s ambassador to the WHO and work with their peers to develop resolution papers that address the different global health theme chosen every year.
MUN WHO’s founder recognized the importance of developing inter-professional relationships in order to develop a deeper understanding of health and more sustainable solutions to its problems. We are very proud to welcome students from all educational backgrounds to our conference.
The MUN WHO Secretariat strives to raise student awareness about global health issues, provide a means for students to play a proactive role in global health policy, acquaint students with the WHO and its role, develop inter-professional relations between future healthcare professionals as well as amongst students whose fields of expertise play a role in health policy, and expose students to a deeper understanding of the social determinants of health.
