MUSLIM STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION (MSA)
last ratified: Winter 2024
The Muslim Students' Association (MSA) at Memorial University is a student-based organization under the Memorial Students' Union that was established in 1976. Since then, the MSA strives to serve Allah (God) in the best way possible through the principles laid out in the Honorable Quran and Teachings of Beloved Prophet Muhammed (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him). We seek to achieve this goal by promoting unity, providing education, and giving back to the local community through a wide array of activities held each year. We hope that this website provides a means of giving current and prospective students more information about the MSA, our events, activities, services, and some general information about Memorial University.
The MSA’s aim is to actively engage Muslims and those of other faiths through dissemination of information, prayers, social functions, and other activities, as a means of assisting and educating students and promoting dialogue, and awareness on campus. The MSA is to provide Islamic services, resources and prayer facilities, and cultivate social connections for all Muslims on campus.
