Indian Youth Association MUN

This is a student-run organization for helping and supporting Indian Students in every possible way, both mentally and physically.

The main goals of IYA are:

1. To provide a support structure for incoming and present Indian students pursuing their education be it undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), St. John’s.

2. To provide a platform for all IYA Members and the greater MUN student community to participate in campus activities through cultural events reflective of Indian society, culture, and traditions.

3. To create and promote awareness and understanding of Indian society, culture, and traditions amongst the greater MUN student community.

4. To provide a platform for statements and provide mutual support for the Indian community in St. John’s.

5. To establish and maintain contact with the Indian community at large.

6. To promote growth in international understanding and fellowship with the greater MUN student community and the general public of St. John’s.
