Sanaa Mrad (She/her)

Director of Advocacy

Hello, I’m Sanaa! I’m a Social Work student at Memorial University and the Executive Director of Advocacy at MUNSU, where I represent and support over 11,000 undergraduate students.

I have served on the MUNSU Board of Directors for the past two years as both the Undeclared Student Representative and the Humanities and Social Sciences Representative. Through these roles, I’ve built connections with students and advocated for their needs across campus.

As someone who has experienced accessibility barriers, I’m passionate about creating a more accessible, inclusive, and equitable university experience. In my role as Director of Advocacy, I support students with academic concerns, accessibility barriers, and other challenges while advocating for meaningful, long-term improvements to student support and campus policies.

If you have a concern, question, or idea, I’m always here to listen and help. Together, we can build a campus where every student feels supported, heard, and empowered.
