MUN Concrete Toboggan

Every year a group of students, ranging in backgrounds and disciplines, from Memorial University of Newfoundland come together to design and build a concrete toboggan to compete in the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race.

A team that designs and builds a toboggan consisting of a superstructure, steering and braking systems, and concrete sliding surfaces that compete annually against universities/colleges across Canada and the USA. Our mission is to provide a space for students to show their knowledge of course related work (or knowledge learned outside of the classroom) with many leadership roles and learning opportunities, including public speaking, business literacy, and structural design and manufacturing.
