The BSA is an umbrella organization that encourages success through the social and educational support of the black community at Memorial.
Its main objectives are as follows: To bring the students from diverse backgrounds together to build a sense of community. Promote and foster diversity in the CSB/SJU student body and community. To encourage acceptance of cultural identity, and encourage success through the social and educational support of the black community at Memorial.
Memorial’s BSA is a space designed to maintain the strength and unity of the Black community that exists and ensures future Black students at MUN will be heard.
The BSA started as a small network of black students at MUN and has developed into a large network of students.
It is the BSA’s mission to promote community interaction, encourage dialogue between our community and the general community, and promote expression of the political, social, and cultural views of black students.
The BSA serves to create a thriving community that supports the talents, and diversity of Black students on campus.
