MUN Baja

MUN Baja is a group of engineering students with an interest in automotive engineering and off road vehicles. The team builds, maintains, and upgrades a single seat mini Baja to compete in the international Baja SAE competition in the U.S.

The team gives undergraduate students an opportunity to apply theoretical classroom knowledge to a real life automotive design problem. It also allows for students to improve skills acquired through course labs like CAD modeling, machining, computer simulations. In addition, it provides a place for people to learn new skills not absorbed in school, or not taught at all. Furthermore, the design challenges provoke creative thinking, problem solving and at times, dealing with daunting or challenging tasks. All these points then develop employability skills for both work terms and post-graduation job seeking.
