About the MUN Students' Union
The Memorial University of Newfoundland Students' Union (MUNSU) is composed of all 13,000 undergraduate students at the St. John's campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland. The Students' Union advocates for students though a comprehensive campaigns and lobbying strategy directed at policy-makers and represents students' needs and concerns to university administrators, governments, and community agencies. The Students' Union also provides services to improve the lives of its members. The Students' Union was one of the founding members of the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS), and today works with more than 80 other member students' unions of the Federation across the country to campaign for accessible post-secondary education and to provide services to students.
All members, that is all undergraduate students at MUN's St. John's campus, are entitled to vote in any election or referendum of the Union, be candidates in elections, attend and speak at Council meetings, participate in campaigns and committee work, and benefit from membership services.
